Our Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) program is an accelerated, hands-on training that prepares you for a career in the medical field. Classes meet weekly at Spruce Mountain Adult Education, with small group instruction, labs, and support from instructors. You’ll study anatomy, medical terminology, infection control, patient care, pharmacology, and more — while practicing real-world skills in the classroom and lab.
I graduated from Spruce Mountain Adult Education so I knew it would be a perfect match to go back and take the CNA course with them. I chose to follow a career path in the medical field. I’ve been working in a nursing facility since April as a helper. A bunch of my coworkers convinced me to become a CNA to help on the floor, so when I found out that Spruce Mountain Adult Education has a CNA program I signed up immediately. Now that I'm certified, I’ve been working on the floor and it's the best thing to have happened to me career-wise. I’m grateful to everyone at Spruce Mountain Adult Education who have been there for me and supported me throughout my entire education experience that's still going!
